The “I” in the song, is not singular, it’s the onenes of earth being channeled through a person, which is the conscious embodiment of earth. The balance and flow that makes earth alive is being disturbed, and we are drowning in ourselves.

“You” is the greed for profit that turns people into exploiters of the world, and the system that feeds of land and turns it into to products.

This world is the fast paced comfortable life industrialisation creates. Which is a world that only finds value on how much labor you can sell. The expectation of that world hurts the environment and people. It doesn’t foster the non important, the unable to speak , the ones unable to act.
